Instructions
1. Cook the bacon slices in a pan, without any fat.
2. Once they are grilled and starting to curl, transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels.
3. Finely chop the leeks and dice the carrots into small pieces, then rinse them under cold water.
4. Add a little butter to the pan and sauté the vegetables until they are golden brown. Season with salt and pepper.
5. In a saucepan over low heat, mix the carton of cream with a pinch of ginger, 50g of butter, and cornstarch, along with salt and pepper.
6. In a small gratin dish, arrange the vegetables and pour the contents of the saucepan over them (the vegetables should not be completely submerged).
7. Place the bacon slices on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 15 minutes.
8. After 10 minutes of cooking, sprinkle grated cheese over the surface.
