Bacon Burger

After my burger with "Giant" sauce, I tried the "Big bacon" which is also very well-known (I think you know which fast-food I'm talking about). For the sauce, I tested several combinations before choosing one that comes closest to the "real" one.

Instructions

  • 1.   Grill the bacon slices in a pan without any fat, set aside.
  • 2.   Peel and slice the onion, then sauté it in the pan with a little olive oil until golden brown, set aside.
  • 3.   Meanwhile, prepare the sauce by mixing mayonnaise, ketchup, and smoked paprika (adjust the quantities according to your taste).
  • 4.   Grill the ground beef patties in a grill pan with a little butter if desired, season with salt and pepper.
  • 5.   Spread sauce on the bottom halves of the buns, add 1 ground beef patty, 1 slice of cheddar cheese, some onions, 1 pickle slice cut in half, sauce, the second ground beef patty, 3 bacon slices, onions, and more sauce. Close with the top bun.
  • 6.   Place under the broiler for 1 or 2 minutes to warm everything up, then enjoy.

Ingredients for servings

  • 2 hamburger buns
  • 2 ground beef patties
  • 2 cup of cheddar
  • 1 red onion
  • 2 slice of pickle
  • 6 slice of smoked bacon
  • 1 pinch of olive oil
  • 4 tablespoon of mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoon of ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • salt (according to taste)
  • pepper (according to taste)
