Italian-style Eggplant Gratin

Instructions

  • 1.   Peel the eggplants, slice them thinly, and brown them in the oven brushed with oil or in a frying pan.
    In a saucepan, cook the minced onion and garlic, add the ground meat, thyme, basil, tomato sauce, and salt.
    Preheat the oven to 210°C (410°F).
    Grease a baking dish and arrange the browned eggplants in it, cover with tomato sauce, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and grated cheese, and repeat the process with another layer of eggplant, tomato sauce, Parmesan cheese, and cheese until all the ingredients are used.
    Bake for 20 minutes.

  • 4 eggplants
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 25 cl of tomato coulis
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 onion
  • 1 pinch of thyme
  • 200 g of grated parmesan
  • 200 g of grated cheese
  • 300 g of ground meat
  • 1 pinch of fresh basil
  • salt (according to taste)
  • pepper (according to taste)
