Instructions

  • 1.   This recipe is extremely simple.
  • 2.   Simply place the chicken in a baking dish.
  • 3.   Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 210-240°C (thermostat 7-8).
  • 4.   Take the butter and cut it into pieces to place on the chicken all over.
  • 5.   Season with salt, pepper, and herbs...
  • 6.   Then, move on to the potatoes... Peel them and soak them in water to rinse and dry them.
  • 7.   Then, you need to cut them.
  • 8.   Well, it's up to you... make pretty shapes if you want, but I simply cut them into squares.
  • 9.   Actually, I take the potato, cut it lengthwise, turn it, then cut it lengthwise again, and then turn it in the other direction to cut it widthwise... and that makes sort of squares.
  • 10.   And I put all the potatoes in the dish around the chicken. Season them.
  • 11.   And then it's off to the oven after pouring half a glass of water over everything.
  • 12.   I let it cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes... more or less depending on the chicken and potatoes.
  • 13.   I turn it regularly during cooking, on each side... And if necessary, I baste it with water... that way, the potatoes soak in the juices.
  • 14.   Once it's ready, simply serve it!
