Gourmet Quinoa Carbonara

Cooking time: 12 minutes

Instructions

  • 1.   Bring 2 liters of salted water to a boil, pour in the quinoa and let cook over low heat for 12 minutes. Drain.
  • 2.   While the quinoa is cooking, sauté the bacon and onions for 2 minutes in a pan with a knob of butter.
  • 3.   In a bowl, beat the egg yolk with the cream and then pour this mixture into the pan and season.
  • 4.   Let it heat for a few minutes.
  • 5.   Pour the quinoa into a dish, fluff it with a fork and serve it topped with the preparation and sprinkled with grated Emmental cheese.

Notes & Suggestions

  • You can sauté the bacon and onion with a sprig of thyme leaves to flavor the dish.

  • 100 g of smoked bacon
  • 2 onions
  • 20 g of butter
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3 tablespoon of thick sour cream
  • 1 grated cheese
  • salt (according to taste)
  • pepper (according to taste)
