Instructions

  • 1.   Chop the onion, garlic and shallot. peel and cut the carrot into a very fine brunoise. Peel the potatoes and cut into small pieces.
  • 2.   Cook the potatoes in salted water or milk (be careful to watch as the milk may overflow when it boils) about 30 minutes.
  • 3.   Fry the carrots for 1 minute in the butter and add the onion, garlic and shallot. Leave another minute.
  • 4.   Add the meat. Season with salt and cook for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • 5.   Spend the potatoes with the vegetable mill or press mashed potatoes and add the butter, milk, cream and salt. Mix quickly.
  • 6.   Arrange the meat in a baking dish and cover with mashed potatoes. Finish with the cheese. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes and 2 minutes under the grill.
