Oven-roasted ribeye steak

Instructions

  • 1.   Drizzle some oil over the ribeye steak, massage it on both sides, then generously season with salt and pepper on both sides!

    If you're searing the meat in a pan, do it in a hot pan for about two to three minutes on each side.
  • 3.   For cooking, there are 2 secrets! Cook the ribeye steak in a very hot oven! Don't be afraid to turn up the temperature to the maximum (250-280°C), but that's not all! The biggest secret is how you position the meat in the oven. There's a certain way to place the meat in the oven! I don't lay the meat on its side in the dish, but upright! And that little trick will make all the difference!
    The cooking is more even. Easier to control.
    Cook the ribeye steaks in a very hot oven at 240°C. Allow 15 minutes of cooking time per 500g of meat. So if your ribeye steaks weigh 1 kilo each, leave them to cook in the oven for 30 minutes. If you prefer the ribeye steak less rare, increase the cooking time.
