Salted Pork with Lentils in the Companion

Instructions

  • 1.   Peel the carrots and onion, cut them into pieces. Cut the pork belly into 4 long slices. In the robot equipped with the ultrablade chopper, put the onion and mix at speed 11 for 10 seconds.
  • 2.   Replace the blade with the mixer. Add the carrots, oil and start the simmer program P1 at 130 °C for 5 minutes.
  • 3.   At the end of the program, add the lentils, pork belly, sausages, veal stock, bay leaf and 400ml of water. Lock the lid without the cap and start the simmer program P2 at 100°C for 45 minutes. Add 1 tablespoon of cornstarch 5 minutes before the end of cooking. Serve hot.

Notes & Suggestions

  • For an express version, sauté 1 onion in the robot, add 125g of canned lentils, 2 sausages and start cooking at speed 1 at 95 °C for 15 minutes.
