1. Cut the chicken into pieces.
2. Peel the potatoes and cook them for 15 minutes in a pot of boiling water (they should not be completely cooked).
3. Drain the potatoes and cut them into large cubes.
4. Cut the tomatoes into pieces.
5. Peel the garlic and onions.
6. Slice the onions and crush the garlic cloves.
7. In a sauté pan, sauté the chicken and onions in olive oil.
8. Add the garlic, then the tomatoes.
9. Season with salt, pepper, and sprinkle with Colombo spice.
10. Reduce the heat, cover, and let simmer for about thirty minutes.
11. Five minutes before the end of cooking, add the potatoes.
