Brussels Sprouts with Ham

Instructions

  • 1.   Wash the Brussels sprouts in vinegar water, then cut off their stems (but not too high so the leaves do not detach).

    Blanch them for 5 minutes in a pot of boiling water to make them more digestible.

    Finally, cook them in a second pot of boiling and salted water for 20 minutes.
  • 2.   Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • 3.   Sauté the minced onion and the ham cut into strips in a pan with olive oil.
  • 4.   Place the Brussels sprouts, onion, and ham in a buttered ovenproof dish.

    Season with salt, pepper, and generously sprinkle with grated Gruyère cheese.
  • 5.   Bake in the oven for 15 minutes until gratinated.

  • 100 g of grated Gruyère cheese
  • 2 tablespoon of olive oil
