Green lentils with Montbéliard sausages

Instructions

  • 1.   On medium heat, sauté thinly sliced onions and sliced carrots in a tablespoon of olive oil
  • 2.   After 10 minutes, add the bacon lardons, stir
  • 3.   5 minutes later, add the lentils and cold water, do not add salt. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover
  • 4.   Let it cook gently for 50 minutes, even if the lentil cooking time is indicated as 25 minutes
  • 5.   Cook the sausages separately, without pricking them, in a large pot of simmering water for 20 minutes
  • 6.   Add the sliced sausages to the lentils 10 minutes before serving
