Chicken and Crab Steamed Dumplings

Delicious steamed dumplings combining chicken, crab, and shrimp, wrapped in rice paper for a light and tasty dish.

Instructions

  • 1.   Peel the carrots and ginger. Peel the garlic and onion.
  • 2.   Cut the chicken into cubes, peel and cut the shrimp into thirds.
  • 3.   Soak the black mushrooms in boiling water for 15 minutes.
  • 4.   Cut the cabbage into strips and blanch them for a few minutes in boiling water, then rinse with cold water.
  • 5.   Blend together the ginger, carrots, garlic, onion, chicken, and mushrooms. Add soy sauce, then the cabbage and crab meat.
  • 6.   Complete the mixture with the chopped shrimp, five spices, and chili. Season with salt and pepper.
  • 7.   Using scissors, cut the rice paper sheets in half, then place a damp cloth on your work surface. Also, prepare a bowl filled with warm water.
  • 8.   Dip a half sheet of rice paper in the water, then place it on the damp cloth. Once well soaked, the sheet becomes pliable.
  • 9.   Place a teaspoon of filling in the center. Wrap with the rice paper and seal the dumpling by pinching.
  • 10.   As you go, place the dumplings in the steamer basket lined with parchment paper.
  • 11.   Steam for 15 minutes.
  • 12.   Enjoy hot in moderation, with a green salad.

  • ½ Chinese cabbage (Pe-tsai)
  • 2 carrots
  • 24 leaf of rice
  • 1 turkey fillet
  • 2 cup of crab meat
  • 48 small crevette rose
  • 3 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of 5 spices
  • 30 g of champignon noir séché
  • 10 cl of ginger
  • 1 onion
  • 1 Espelette pepper
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • salt (according to taste)
