Pepper and chorizo cake

Instructions

  • 1.   Finely chop the onion, slice the peppers and chorizo.

    Cook everything in a pan with a little olive oil until the onion is soft, then set aside.
  • 2.   Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

    In a bowl, mix the eggs, flour, spices, baking powder, olive oil and mix well.
  • 3.   Add the olives, cheese and the chorizo mixture.

    Mix well.

    Spread the batter in a silicone mold or a greased and floured classic mold.

    Add some sesame seeds, grated cheese on top for decoration.
  • 4.   Bake for 35-40 minutes.

    To check if it's done, insert a sharp knife in the center of the cake, if it comes out clean it's ready, otherwise leave it for a few more minutes.

    Let the cake cool before unmolding.

    Serve hot or cold.

  • 150 g of mild chorizo
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup of grated cheese
  • 2 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 3 cup of flour
  • 1 bag of baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon of Cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 bag of pitted black olive
