Baked Croque-Madame

Madame is topped with a sunny-side-up egg, for even more indulgence.

Instructions

  • 1.   Preheat the oven to 240°C (465°F). Mix in a bowl: cream, parmesan, and half of the grated cheese, salt and pepper.
  • 2.   Butter the slices of sandwich bread on one side only.
  • 3.   Butter an ovenproof dish. Arrange half of the slices with the buttered side facing up.
  • 4.   Add half a slice of ham on each slice of bread.
  • 5.   Add the remaining grated cheese, and the other half slice of ham.
  • 6.   Close with the second slice of bread, buttered side on the ham, and cover the sandwiches with the cream-cheese mixture.
  • 7.   Bake for 10 minutes.
  • 8.   Meanwhile, cook the sunny-side-up eggs in a pan with a knob of butter.
  • 9.   Once the croques are cooked, top with the sunny-side-up eggs, serve with a green salad, and it's ready!

  • 1 slice of ham
  • 60 g of grated cheese
  • 30 g of sour cream
  • ½ tablespoon of grated parmesan
  • 5 g of salted butter
  • 2 handful of lettuce
  • 1 egg
  • salt (according to taste)
  • pepper (according to taste)
