Caramelized Orange Chicken

We recommend adding some sesame seeds at the end of cooking, a little scallion, and serving it all with rice. It's a complete and quick dinner idea! For vegetarians, you can easily replace the meat with tofu, for example, it's really delicious.

Instructions

  • 1.   Grate the zest of the oranges and squeeze the juice.
  • 2.   In a bowl, mix the zest, orange juice, minced garlic, honey, thyme, chili, olive oil, and soy sauce.
  • 3.   Cut the chicken breasts into cubes and add them to the marinade. Mix well and let marinate (covered) for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator. Remember to stir occasionally so that all the chicken marinates well.
  • 4.   In a sauté pan, melt the butter and add the chicken pieces (keep the marinade). Let them brown for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring.
  • 5.   Pour in the marinade and increase the heat to caramelize the sauce. When it is thick and coats the back of a spoon, remove from the heat (about ten minutes).
  • 6.   Serve immediately with some sesame seeds, chopped scallions, and rice.

  • 1 pinch of chili pepper
  • 2 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 600 g of chicken breast
  • 1 teaspoon of butter
