Normandy-style Hake

Instructions

  • 1.   In a skillet, heat the oil and brown the hake slices. Remove the fillets and add the sliced onions, cook until they soften.
  • 2.   Place the hake back in the skillet and season. Pour cider over it and simmer for 15 minutes on low heat.
  • 3.   Set aside the fish and onions and add the heavy cream to the cooking juices. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • 4.   Serve with steamed potatoes.

  • 4 tablespoon of oil
  • 1 tablespoon of cream
