Beef with onions, ginger, and basmati rice

Instructions

  • 1.   Peel and finely chop the ginger.
  • 2.   In a bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in warm water.
  • 3.   Add the soy sauce, ginger, vinegar, and sliced beef. Season with pepper.
  • 4.   Meanwhile, prepare the rice.
  • 5.   Mix well and let marinate in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
  • 6.   Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
  • 7.   Cook the rice according to package instructions.
  • 8.   While the rice is cooking, cook the beef with onions.
  • 9.   Slice the yellow onions.
  • 10.   In a sauté pan, heat a drizzle of cooking oil over medium-high heat.
  • 11.   Sauté the onions for 7 minutes until golden brown.
  • 12.   After 7 minutes, add the meat with the marinade and continue cooking for 5 minutes.
  • 13.   Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  • 14.   Meanwhile, remove the base of the scallion and slice it.
  • 15.   Serve your beef with onions and ginger accompanied by rice! Sprinkle with scallions and toasted sesame seeds!
