Old-fashioned pork shoulder slice

Instructions

  • 1.   Place the pork shoulder slice in an ovenproof dish.
  • 2.   Scatter around the dish potatoes cut into medium-sized pieces. Drizzle with olive oil.
  • 3.   Bake at 180°C - 190°C for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, basting regularly with hot oil to prevent drying out.
  • 4.   Remove the dish from the oven and sprinkle with powdered veal stock (a generous amount, according to taste). Return to the oven for about 1/2 hour, basting regularly for the same reason.
  • 5.   When the pork shoulder slice has a golden color and the potatoes are cooked, serve with a good red wine.
