Lorraine quiche

Instructions

  • 1.   Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F), gas mark 6/7.
  • 2.   Place the shortcrust pastry in a buttered pie dish and prick the bottom with a fork.
  • 3.   In a frying pan, brown the bacon bits.
  • 4.   Meanwhile, mix the whole eggs (yolks and whites) with the heavy cream and grated gruyère cheese.
  • 5.   Add the bacon bits to the mixture, season with pepper, and add a pinch of grated nutmeg.
  • 6.   Pour everything into the pie dish, on top of the pastry, then bake for 30 minutes.

  • 3 eggs
  • 250 g of sour cream
  • 150 g of bacon cube
  • 100 g of grated emmental
  • 1 pinch of ground nutmeg
