Forest Galette

Ham, cheese, mushrooms & egg: the winning quartet for a perfect galette!

Instructions

  • 1.   Optional: if you have them, chop the shallots. Wash the mushrooms, then cut them into thin slices.
  • 2.   In a hot skillet, add a knob of butter, (optional: the shallots), and the mushrooms and sauté them over high heat, stirring regularly, until all the water released by the mushrooms has evaporated. Season with salt and pepper.
  • 3.   Once the mushrooms are nicely browned, remove them from the skillet and set them aside.
  • 4.   Add a knob of butter to the skillet and place a galette on top.
  • 5.   Crack an egg in the center, add some cheese on top, add torn pieces of ham, and distribute some of the sautéed mushrooms around.
  • 6.   Cook over medium heat for 3 minutes until the egg is cooked to your liking. Fold the galette in half or into a square, serve, and it's ready!

  • 80 g of mushroom
  • 1 egg
  • ½ shallots
