Instructions

  • 1.   Make sure to follow the quantities indicated on the left to prepare your recipe!
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil for the pasta.
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a sauté pan over medium-high heat. Brown the ground beef and add 1 tsp of Mexican spices per person (it's spicy! Adjust according to your taste) for 4-5 minutes.
Finely chop the onion and garlic. Remove the seeds and cut the bell pepper into equal-sized pieces.
Set the meat aside outside of the sauté pan and keep the cooking juices in it.
  • 2.   Cook the penne for 10-12 minutes in the pot. Drain them and set them aside.
Return the sauté pan to medium-high heat and sauté the bell pepper, garlic, and onion for 1-2 minutes.
Add the tomato passata, cover, and cook for 6-8 minutes.
  • 3.   Add the penne, meat, and half of the grated cheddar to the sauté pan.
Mix well, then season with salt and pepper.
Reheat everything for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • 4.   Serve the pasta on plates and spoon a dollop of sour cream on top.
Garnish with the remaining grated cheddar.
