Salam allaicom, hello, a delicious appetizer of tomato stuffed with tuna and rice with mayonnaise that I often prepare to accompany roasted chicken or just with a green salad for a light meal. The recipe is simple and quick to make, you just need to prepare a kind of tuna rice salad and stuff the raw tomatoes with it. You can customize it according to taste and preferences by adding black olives, corn, capers, or pickles for a tangy filling. Here, I made a plate of composed salad with Hmiss (grilled pepper salad) and carrot salad with cumin.

Instructions

  • 1.   Cut the tops off the tomatoes and remove the insides, then sprinkle a pinch of salt in each one and turn them upside down on absorbent paper to drain.
  • 2.   In a dish, crumble the tuna with a fork along with the egg. Add the cooked rice, parsley, mustard, and mayonnaise. Adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  • 3.   Stuff the tomatoes, put the tops back on, and refrigerate.
  • 4.   You can serve them on a bed of green salad like Batavia lettuce and garnish with corn, hard-boiled eggs, and black olives.
