Instructions
1. Peel the leeks, keeping only the white part, wash them very gently, and cut them into 5 cm long pieces.
2. Peel the carrots and cut them into sticks.
Melt the butter in a sauté pan.
3. When the butter foams, add the carrots and leeks and sauté them for 5 minutes, stirring.
Add a glass of water, crumble the bouillon cube on top.
4. Stir, sprinkle with sugar, stir again.
Cover and let it confit over very low heat for 30 minutes.
Monitor the cooking: the water should be completely evaporated and the vegetables caramelized.
5. Grill the bacon in a pan without any fat.
Put the vegetables in bowls and sprinkle them with bacon.
Notes & Suggestions
Do not add salt, the bouillon cube and bacon are salty enough.
