Baked Camembert

The winter season is approaching and so is the season for cheese dishes. Instead of the unbeatable raclette or the essential Savoyard fondue, how about preparing a delicious baked Camembert? Get a good fresh baguette and a nice glass of wine, here's the recipe.

Instructions

  • 1.   Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
    In a pan, fry the bacon cut into pieces.
  • 2.   Take the Camembert out of its box, remove the paper, and put it back in its box.
    Score the top of the cheese in a cross shape and add honey (or fig jam). Season with salt, pepper, and Herbes de Provence. Bake for about ten minutes.
  • 3.   Take it out of the oven and add the bacon. You can also add walnuts or hazelnuts for extra indulgence. 😉
    Enjoy it hot with a good fresh baguette and a green salad.
