Herring and Potato Gratin

Instructions

  • 1.   Sauté the chopped onion in oil over low heat for 15 minutes.
  • 2.   Steam the sliced potatoes (20 minutes in a Thermomix for me).
  • 3.   In a gratin dish, layer half of the potatoes, then the onion, then the herring fillets cut into strips, then the remaining half of the potatoes. Season with pepper and cover with cream.
  • 4.   Bake in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes at 200°C (400°F).
  • 5.   Serve with a salad.

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 200 g of smoked herring
  • 600 g of potato
  • 15 cl of liquid fresh cream
  • pepper (according to taste)
