Raspberry Panna Cotta

Panna cotta is delicious served with fruits! Since raspberries can be expensive, here's a more affordable recipe using raspberry jam. Let the panna cotta cool in the refrigerator for at least two hours before serving.

Instructions

  • 1.   Pour the cream into a saucepan. Add the sugar and vanilla. Bring to a boil while stirring constantly with a wooden spoon.
  • 2.   Meanwhile, soften the gelatin sheets in a bowl of cold water. When the cream mixture is boiling, incorporate the gelatin.
  • 3.   Pour the mixture into ramekins and refrigerate for 6 hours.
  • 4.   Unmold onto dessert plates, add the coulis made with raspberries. Let cool.
  • 5.   Garnish with a mint leaf and a raspberry, it's ready!

Questions

  • Should not use liquid cream instead of thick cream for panna cotta?
    Typically, panna cotta is made with heavy crème fraîche, as it gives a creamier, richer texture to the dessert. Liquid cream can also be used, but it will give a lighter, less rich texture. So it depends on your personal preferences.

    Used whipping cream so the quantity is fine Bought exceptional blueberries and red currants, they mix well Another time with fresh mango.. Killer..

    A delicious (unfortunately a bit fatty) treat, but incorrect recipe quantities. For 2 people, I used 200ml of heavy cream, 60ml of whole milk, 20g of sugar, 1/2 packet of vanilla sugar, 1g of agar agar instead of gelatin (you can use 2g of gelatin) and frozen raspberry coulis. It turned out well.
