1. * Step 1: Cook the vegetables...
2. Grill (or sauté in olive oil) the eggplants (previously sliced thinly lengthwise). Set aside.
3. Slice the zucchinis and sauté them as well. Set aside.
4. Do the same with the tomatoes, adding garlic and basil. Be careful not to overcook them and turn them into sauce: they should remain in pieces.
5. * Step 2: Assembly...
6. Line 4 ramekins with thin strips of cured ham.
7. In fact, the idea is to cross the strips at the bottom of the ramekin in a way that creates a sort of asterisk or star, with the branches going up along the sides of the ramekin (am I clear?), so that when you unmold the timbales, the ham holds the preparation without completely covering it. This way, the different layers of the timbale will be visible.
8. On top of the lining, add the eggplants, pressing them down firmly, then the tomatoes, followed by the mozzarella, and finally the zucchinis.
9. Microwave for one to two minutes: the vegetables are already cooked, it's just a matter of melting the mozzarella or heating the ricotta, and slightly cooking the ham to infuse the flavors.
10. Unmold and enjoy...
