Instructions

  • 1.   1. Cut the meat into small cubes. Peel the ginger, garlic, and shallot. Slice them and put them in a bowl. Add the nuoc mam, meat, sugar, oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Cook the rice in boiling salted water.
  • 2.   2. Sear the meat over high heat, stirring constantly. Reduce the heat and let it caramelize slowly for 20 minutes. When the sauce has caramelized, deglaze with a little water to obtain a sauce base.
  • 3.   3. Serve hot, with a bowl of basmati rice per person and lightly warmed bean sprouts.

  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 shallot
  • 6 teaspoon of fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoon of sugar
  • 3 teaspoon of sesame oil
  • 300 g of soybean sprout
  • 160 g of white rice
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper
