Beef, red beans, chili, raisins, peppers, and rice

Instructions

  • 1.   Peel and slice the onion. Sauté it in a pot on a cooking sheet until golden. Meanwhile, clean and dice the peppers. Set aside.
  • 2.   Rinse and drain the red beans. Add the ground beef to the pot and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the peppers, tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes, chili spices, raisins, and simmer for 10 minutes, covered. Meanwhile, cook the rice in salted water for 10 minutes, then drain.
  • 3.   Add the red beans to the pot and continue cooking for 5 minutes. Serve in plates.
