Curry & Coconut Octopus

Instructions

  • 1.   Wash, lemon, and cut the octopus into pieces.
  • 2.   Place the pieces in a saucepan with 1 glass of water.
  • 3.   Cook for 45 minutes and drain at the end of cooking.
  • 4.   Finely chop the onion, garlic, and cut the tomato into quarters.
  • 5.   In a sauté pan, heat a drizzle of oil. Sweat the onion and garlic. Add the pieces of octopus, then the juice of half a lemon.
  • 6.   Continue with the tomatoes, ginger, and curry. Add the coconut milk. Cover and cook for 15 minutes.
  • 7.   Adjust the seasoning. Sprinkle with parsley or cilantro at the end of cooking.
  • 8.   Serve with basmati rice, for example, and a wedge of lime.

  • 1 large onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger powder
  • 1 tablespoon of curry powder
  • 1 leaf of fresh coriander

  • salt (according to taste)
