Cantonese Fried Rice

Cantonese fried rice is a delicious dish from Chinese cuisine, made with fried rice accompanied by slices of pork and a mixture of vegetables, usually peas. It is sometimes garnished with shrimp. Instructions

  • 1.   Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the rice in it for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, beat the eggs in a bowl with sesame oil, a pinch of salt, and pepper. Pour the mixture into a non-stick skillet. Cook the omelette for a few minutes. Remove it from the skillet and cut it into small cubes.
  • 2.   Also cut the ham into cubes and peel the shrimp. When the rice is almost done cooking, drain it. Heat the sunflower oil in a wok. Add the cooked rice, diced ham, shrimp, cooked peas, and omelette cubes. Mix well and continue cooking the Cantonese fried rice for 5 minutes.
  • 3.   Divide the Cantonese fried rice into several bowls, sprinkle with minced flat-leaf parsley, and serve immediately.

  • 100 g of pea
  • 4 stalk of parsley
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
