Sugar Beet Cake

An extraordinary moist cake without a single gram of fat. No butter, oil, or heavy cream, but a divine melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Instructions

  • 1.   Cut the sugar beet into large cubes. Cook it in a pressure cooker for 30 minutes.
  • 2.   Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • 3.   In a bowl, blend the sugar beet, bananas, and eggs.
  • 4.   Add the flour and baking powder to the mixture, and optionally, the sugar.
  • 5.   Pour the batter into a cake pan.
  • 6.   Bake the cake in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 45 minutes.
