1. Preferably use a wok, otherwise a frying pan.
2. Sauté the onion and bell pepper in 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
3. Rinse the lentils with cold water.
4. Add them to the wok with a glass of cold water and the spices.
5. The red lentils will cook a bit like risotto. (DO NOT do this with traditional lentils).
6. Add water during cooking if necessary.
7. Allow 15 minutes of cooking time.
8. Serve them with plain rice.
