Light Ginger Chicken

Instructions

  • 1.   Remove the skin from the chicken breasts and cut them into strips. Season the pieces with salt and pepper. Peel the ginger root and cut it into thin slices. Peel and wash the fresh mushrooms. Dissolve the cornstarch in 3 tablespoons of water.
  • 2.   In a non-stick skillet, wipe a drop of oil with a paper towel, then sauté the ginger slices without letting them brown. Add the chicken pieces and sauté them for a few minutes. Add the mushrooms and 20 cl of water. Let it all cook for another 5 minutes covered until the meat is cooked.
  • 3.   Then add the cornstarch, white wine, soy sauce, and bring to a gentle boil while stirring until the sauce thickens. Add more cornstarch if necessary. Serve your hot ginger chicken with white rice.

  • 1 tablespoon of white wine
  • 1 teaspoon of soy sauce
  • 1 slice of fresh ginger
  • salt (according to taste)
