Beef bourguignon with Autocook 4 SP

Instructions

  • 1.   First preparation to be done the day before!
  • 2.   Wash and peel 400 g of button mushrooms, 6 carrots, 200 g of onions, and 3 cloves of garlic. Cut 700 g of beef chuck into large pieces. Cut the carrots into large chunks and slice the mushrooms.
  • 3.   Slice the onions. In the Autocook, sauté the bacon, then the meat and sliced onions. Once everything is golden, sprinkle with 2 teaspoons of cornstarch, stir, and cover with 250 ml of red wine and 125 ml of water. Then add the garlic cloves, carrots, mushroom slices, thyme, and 4 bay leaves. Season with salt and pepper. Close the Autocook and let simmer (long mode for 60 minutes).
  • 4.   On the day of, put the Autocook back in medium simmer mode (10 + 20 minutes) and add 250 ml of vegetable or lean beef broth. Remove the bay leaves.
