WW Tuna Briks

As an appetizer, a main dish with salad, or even as an appetizer, you will enjoy these delicious tuna briks. To lighten up the recipe, I bake the briks in the oven instead of frying them. They are just as tasty, with less fat!

Instructions

  • 1.   Preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F).
  • 2.   Boil the eggs for 15 minutes until hard-boiled.
    Cut them into small pieces.
    Cut the brik sheets in half.
  • 3.   Finely chop the onion.
    Chop the herbs.
  • 4.   In a pan, sauté the onion in 1 tsp of oil.
  • 5.   Mix the crumbled tuna with the 4 cream cheese squares, add the herbs, spices, lemon juice, and the sautéed onion.
    Mix well.
    Season with salt and pepper.
  • 6.   Add the hard-boiled eggs.
    Gently mix.
  • 7.   Place 1/8 of the filling in each brik sheet and fold them into triangles.
  • 8.   Place the briks on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
    Brush both sides with the remaining oil using a brush.
  • 9.   Bake for 25 minutes in the oven, flipping halfway through.
  • 10.   Serve hot with a squeeze of lemon if desired.

Notes & Suggestions

  • You can replace the cream cheese with another cheese of your choice (St Moret, Philadelphia, Boursin, cottage cheese...).
  • You can fry the briks in a pan if you prefer.

  • 8 brick pastry sheets
  • 1 canned tuna in water (drained weight)
  • 4 square fee o%
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 parsley
  • 1 onion
  • 1 chives
  • 4 teaspoon of oil
  • 2 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon of paprika
  • 2 pinch of Espelette pepper
  • salt (according to taste)
  • pepper (according to taste)
