Jam Shortbread Cookies

You can replace the jam with chocolate spread.

Instructions

  • 1.   Mix the softened butter with powdered sugar and vanilla sugar.
  • 2.   Mix well until you obtain a whitish cream, then add the egg.
  • 3.   Mix everything together, then add the flour and almond powder.
  • 4.   Work the dough well until you obtain a ball. Put it in a container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • 5.   Flour the work surface and roll out the dough with a rolling pin. It should not be too thin or too thick.
  • 6.   Cut out large rounds with a cookie cutter.
  • 7.   In half of the obtained cookies, make a hole in the center with a smaller cookie cutter.
  • 8.   Bake for 10 to 15 minutes at 150°C (300°F), they should have a white color.
  • 9.   Let them cool, then spread jam on the solid cookies.
  • 10.   Cover with the cookies that have a hole in the center, then sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  • 11.   There you go, enjoy your meal!
