Sweet and Savory Croque-monsieur

Vegetarian Croque Evening

Instructions

  • 1.   Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • 2.   On a slice of bread, place the cheese. Place another slice of bread on top of the cheese. Repeat with all the slices. Bake for 8 minutes (the top should be golden). Meanwhile, peel and cut the pear(s) in half, remove the cores and seeds, then cut them into slices. Peel the onion and cut it into rounds. Wash, dry, and chop the chives. Wash and dry the lettuce. Divide it onto plates. Lift the top slices of bread from the croque-monsieur and distribute the pears, onions, chives, and walnut kernels on top of the cheese, season with pepper, and cover. Serve.

  • 100 g of goat cheese log
  • 1 leaf of arugula
  • 1.5 pears
  • 1 red onion
  • 4 walnut kernels
  • 4 stalk of chives
  • salt (according to taste)
  • pepper (according to taste)
