Instructions

  • 1.   Peel the potatoes and cut them into pieces.
  • 2.   Put them in a saucepan and cover them with water. Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  • 3.   Cover and bring to a boil.
  • 4.   Reduce the heat and let cook covered, about 15 minutes until a fork easily goes through the potato flesh.
  • 5.   Drain the potatoes.
  • 6.   Mash the potatoes using a potato masher or a fork or a hand blender on low speed, but do not overmix.
  • 7.   Add the oil, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix until you get a light and creamy mashed potatoes.
