Instructions

  • 1.   Choose extra fresh eggs of similar size for even cooking. Take the eggs out of the refrigerator 1 hour before cooking so they are at room temperature. When the water is boiling, gently place the eggs in with a spoon.
    Cook for 3 minutes in boiling water to obtain a soft-boiled egg. The yolk should be runny and the white just set.
    Cook for 6 minutes in boiling water to obtain a medium-boiled egg, with a semi-liquid yolk and a fully set white.
    Once cooked, plunge the egg into ice water to cool it down. Tap it gently on a work surface and peel off the shell along with the thin membrane.

Notes & Suggestions

  • This is not a recipe, but rather a cooking technique and serving suggestion.
    To prevent the eggs from cracking during cooking, make a small hole on the side of the air pocket (the larger end) using a pin or the tip of a knife.
    For serving, sprinkle paprika on the egg, it's divine!
