Pear and Chocolate Almond Cream Tart.
An explosion of flavors for the grand finale of a gourmet meal!

Instructions

. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

. Line a large tart pan with shortcrust pastry. Chill in the refrigerator.

. Melt the chocolate.

. Cream the softened butter (slightly melted in the microwave) with the granulated sugar.

. Add the whole egg and the yolk, cornstarch, almond powder, salt, and the still warm chocolate.

. Spread the chocolate cream on the tart crust and smooth it out.

. Peel the pears, cut them in half, and remove the core.

. Slice them lengthwise (without cutting them completely), and gently press them into the cream.

. Bake the tart for about 35 minutes.
Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar.
Notes & Suggestions
Exotic variation: make the cream by replacing the almond powder with grated coconut and the pears with mangoes.

For my part, since I didn't have any pears, I used bananas, it's just as good and delicious.
