Microwave Béchamel Sauce

Instructions

  • 1.   Melt the butter for 30 seconds to 1 minute on 900W.
  • 2.   Mix the flour with the butter, after sifting it.
  • 3.   Boil the milk (about 5 minutes on 900W (1 minute for 100 mL)) then gradually add it to the flour/butter mixture; mix well to avoid lumps.
  • 4.   Microwave the mixture for 1 minute 30 seconds to 2 minutes on 900W, then mix well while adding salt and pepper (and optionally nutmeg).
