Light Rum Baba

Instructions

  • 1.   Preheat the oven to 210°C (410°F).
  • 2.   Start beating the eggs with the sugar until the mixture becomes pale.
  • 3.   Then add the flour, baking powder, and milk and mix everything together.
  • 4.   Place in a mold of your choice.
  • 5.   Don't forget to grease the mold well.
  • 6.   Bake for 25 minutes.
  • 7.   While baking, prepare the syrup.
  • 8.   Boil the water and 120g of sugar for a few minutes.
  • 9.   Then add the rum off the heat.
  • 10.   After removing the cake from the oven, unmold it and place it back in its mold, then immediately pour the syrup over it.
  • 11.   Let it soak, then place the baba on the serving plate.
  • 12.   Serve with your choice of fruit, whipped cream, etc.
  • 13.   Enjoy warm or cold after a resting time in the fridge.
