Instructions

  • 1.   Cut all the vegetables into small cubes.
  • 2.   Sauté the vegetables in oil with the spices and bouillon cube.
  • 3.   Add the red lentils, sauté for 2 minutes.
  • 4.   Cover with 2 liters of boiling water, stir in the tomato paste.
  • 5.   Let it cook covered over medium heat for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  • 6.   Carefully blend to obtain a very smooth texture.
  • 7.   Return to heat for 2 minutes, adjust the consistency with a little water if needed.
  • 8.   Serve piping hot.

  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 potato
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 tablespoon of tomato paste (optional)
  • 1 bouillon cube
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 2 tablespoon of oil
  • 2 liter of water
  • salt (according to taste)
  • pepper (according to taste)
