Instructions

  • 1.   Soak the split peas in water overnight (you can soak them for less time, but plan for at least one hour).
  • 2.   Cook the split peas in boiling water for 1 hour after boiling.

    Cook the potatoes in water or steam.

    Sauté the onion with the bacon in a pan.
  • 3.   Blend all the ingredients together, adding some cooking water (according to your preferences: the more water you add, the thinner the puree will be), salt, and pepper.
