Instructions

  • 1.   Cook the split peas in 2 liters of boiling salted water for 35 minutes. Drain.
  • 2.   Meanwhile, thinly slice the onion and sauté it in a pan with a little oil. Season with salt and pepper. Let it cook covered for a few minutes until softened.
  • 3.   When the onions are soft, add the bacon lardons and then the split peas.
  • 4.   Sauté together for a few minutes and serve immediately.
