Lentil Bolognese

Instructions

  • 1.   Prepare the bolognese sauce.

    Peel and slice the garlic, onion, and carrot.

    Sauté them in olive oil.

    Add the tomato sauce, thyme, 40cl of water, and some pepper.

    Be careful; only add salt at the end of cooking, as salt prevents legumes from cooking properly.
  • 2.   Bring to a boil and add 150g of lentils.

    Cover and let simmer over low heat for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring regularly.
  • 3.   Cook the pasta for 10 minutes in a pot of boiling water.
  • 4.   Place the pasta in a shallow plate, top with lentil bolognese sauce, and sprinkle with grated cheese.

    It's ready!

  • 150 g of canned lentil
  • 1 carrot (optional)
  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 20 cl of canned peeled tomato (optional)
  • 1 stalk of thyme
  • 3 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 100 g of grated cheese
  • salt (according to taste)
  • pepper (according to taste)
