Instructions

  • 1.   In a saucepan, pour the water, butter, and sugar. Heat gently until the butter is melted and the sugar is dissolved. Let cool for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl and add the liquid mixture while stirring constantly. Mix the dough with a wooden spoon until it is soft, smooth, and without lumps. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 3 hours.
    Preheat the oven to 180°C. Remove the dough from the refrigerator and knead it until softened. Roll out the dough on a baking sheet sprinkled with fine flour. Cut the cookies with a cookie cutter (or alternatively, use a pastry cutter or make rectangles) and then place the sheet in the oven until the edges of the cookies are golden brown (about 12 minutes).
