Red Lentils in a Wok

Instructions

  • 1.   Preferably use a wok, otherwise a skillet.
  • 2.   Sauté the onion and bell pepper in 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
  • 3.   Rinse the lentils with cold water.
  • 4.   Add them to the wok with a glass of cold water and the spices.
  • 5.   The red lentils will cook somewhat like a risotto. (DO NOT do this with traditional lentils).
  • 6.   Add water during cooking if necessary.
  • 7.   Allow for 15 minutes of cooking.
  • 8.   Serve with plain rice.

  • 1 glass of rice (optional)
  • 1 onion
  • ½ bell peppers
  • 1 pinch of paprika
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • salt (according to taste)
  • pepper (according to taste)
