Tomato and Basil Salad

Instructions

  • 1.   To prepare each individual salad, arrange a quarter of the tomato slices on a salad plate and top with a quarter of the onion slices. Drizzle with 5 ml (1 tsp) of oil and season with salt and pepper to taste; sprinkle a pinch of oregano on top.
  • 2.   Let it sit at room temperature for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to develop. Just before serving, sprinkle with basil. Serves one salad per portion.
